A story of a young boy who is a page of Earl/King Harold of England, based on the battle of Hastings time in history. Wulf goes on many daring missions for Harold that will hold you in deep suspense. Wulf, a young thane, is entrusted by Harold to run errands, and fights at quite a few battles, including the Battle of Stamford Bridge and the Battle of Hastings. The book, has the people talking in a way which we would not today; i.e. "Do not expose yourself too much on the field of battle, Wulf. I cannot spare you, and therefore charge you not to be rash, and if matters go ill to provide for your safety as far as you may." This, at times, can be difficult to understand, but you can, at least, catch the jist of all of the book.
